AXA Winterthur is the owner of the Telli B and C buildings in Aarau with a total of 581 flats. The building envelope and services have reached the end of their life and no longer meet current standards and specifications. For this reason, the buildings are to be energetically renovated in the next few years. In addition, AXA’s global strategy of sustainability consists in striving for a certification of the buildings by a sustainability label.
moreThe ultimate project objectives strive to preserve and maintain the value and architectural quality of the buildings. The satisfaction of their inhabitants as well as a stabilization of the social structures developed over time is to be guaranteed in the long run. An innovative implementation of the project with as much industrial prefabrication as possible is to allow for the special challenge of remodelling an inhabited building thanks to optimized building logistics.
The Telli housing estate represents a showpiece project both in terms of its dimensions and its date of creation in the seventies.
