The plateau at the Rhine Falls with the impressive administration building of the former Aluminium Industrie Aktiengesellschaft and the immense factory complex of SIG is of paramount importance for this location and part of the Federal Inventory of Landscapes and National Monuments (BNL) of Switzerland. In the various views, the 23 meter-high Rhine Falls overlap with the silhouettes of the industrial buildings and the traffic as well as, along the last foothills of the Randen, with the tower blocks of the modern urban development of Neuhausen.
With its standing proportions, the proposed new building on Industrieplatz quietly blends into this visual chain, creating space for 36 flats, two live-in studios, a restaurant on two storeys, and a commercial space.
