Under the heading of an “introverted densification”, this transformation includes the central site around the town hall, school building, maintenance depot, and Rhyfall Hall of Neuhausen am Rheinfall, and provokes with these elements of a public space the creation of a communal space. Neither the old town hall on Zentralstrasse, nor the school building on Rheingoldstrasse centre the planned, new order; rather, it is the town square along with the introverted school square that centre the plan. The spaces are shaped by an ensemble of new buildings: the old local government house as a café, the media center, the auditorium and kindergarten, the wholesaler with the apartments to be built and the tower, and the rear building with the fire brigade, administration, and police station.
